Website Commissions are currently: OPEN

BAH Studios™ web design services are intended for the small business or individual with simple needs and a budget in mind. Web site designs cost a base value of $200, plus $30 per hour it takes to complete the project. When I accept a commission, I will give you an estimate of how many hours your project will take to complete. If the work takes much longer or shorter than anticipated, I will notify you before continuing on work.

Please note that I do HTML, SSI, basic PHP, Javascript and CSS. I do not do ASP. If your host does not provide PHP or SSI support, please indicate so when requesting an order.

Remember that BAH Studios™ reserves the right to refuse commissions from anybody. Please keep in mind I don't do designs for larger businesses and other advanced websites. See the Disclaimer page for more information.

The overall process:

  1. E-mail me about a website commission.
  2. We exchange ideas/requirements and agree to terms.
  3. You pay the base fee ($200). I will NOT begin work until I have received and cashed the base fee. You may use PayPal, a check, or work out another deal with me if you prefer another method. If for some reason I am unable to finish your project, I will inform you and refund you the base fee.
  4. I work on the site/design, frequently contacting you about progress/changes to be made.
  5. Completed site is shown. You pay the total hourly fees due. After I get the fees, I will send you your website files. Enjoy your new site design!

Things to keep in mind when asking for a commission:

  • Keep your original e-mail subject line with something like "Website commission" or the like as the header. Do not use something like "VERY IMPORTANT" or "I NEED YOUR HELP"; they will likely end up in my junk filter.
  • Tell me the basic idea of what kind of site you need. Are you running a pet store? Need a place for an online portfolio/resume? Just need a personal website for fun? If I don't know what kind of site you want, I can't make you anything!
  • You will need a place to put your site; If you don't have a host, I can help you set one up. See the FAQ page for details on web hosts.
  • I need to know if your host supports PHP, and what version. Most hosts will indicate whether or not they have PHP on their webpage.
  • Unless you want to install everything yourself, I will need FTP and/or uploading access to your site. I won't mess with your exhisting content unless asked, but I strongly suggest you make a temp account for me to use, or change your password to your uploading/FTP account once I have finished your site.
